1995 E320 sedan ignition switch stuck
My ignition switch is stuck and the car want turn over. Should it get replaced and can I do it?

Have you tried to start it with the shifter in N rather than P?

without turning the key you can not shift. i thunk after 212,000 miles the tumblers have wore out.

Try turning the steering wheel right/left as you turn the key..

Arthur, if/after the steering lock disengages doesnt the brake also need to be depressed to get the shifter into N in the event the ign remains dead in P?

Gear selection requires Brake application at Stand-still, Remember those old Audis that uses to take the corner of the Garage OFF ????? ![]()
