My 1988 300E oil level light comes on during left cornering and hard braking unless the oil level is right at the full mark on the dipstick. I understand that there is supposed to be a delay built in so that the oil level has to remain low for approx. 45 seconds before the light comes on. My light is not acting this way for sure. Is there something that can be replaced or repaired to make it so it doesn't come on? Thanks in advance.

Could it possibly just be a cold solder joint (like everything else that is electrical with these cars of this age). If not I will just have to live with it I guess.
