still think your noise is motor mounts seeing as the compressor is mounted at the bottom on the left side.one good way to check is to get a floor jack under the oil pan[use pce of 2 by 4],turn on engine and a/c to where you feel vibration and then jack the engine up a little and see if noise changes.

So he did replace the tensioner? What about the little shock absorber on the tensioner?

motor mounts can look new for a long time....he needs to either measure them
or pull the passenger side (10 minutes) and take a look

Hi, it could be that the discharge hose from the compressor to the condenser is touching somethign and the vibration from the compressor is being amplified. This happens sometimes. be sure it's not touching the inner fender for example.
