How do you remove the trim that goes around the stereo and heater/ac controls on a W202? There are two screws on the inside top of the cubby beneath the stereo, but even after removing them, the trim panel does not come out. I did not want to tug too hard.
There is a highly irritating rattle from either the stereo/wireless or the heater knobs and I'd like to find out what it is. Thanks in advance.

The trim cannot be removed without removing the radio. You need the radio release keys.

Thanks, I think I've got the radio release key somewhere.
