Cl500 W215 Help

Here's the history.

Vehicle had a battery drain which after a week of checks by the dealer was diagonosed as a faulty rear sam unit.

On receipt of vehicle i noticed that the fuel gauge needle was not reducing as the car was driven, so i returned to the dealer the next day who suggested that it may be related to the sam replacement and reprogrammed the fuel gauge.

On starting the vehicle at the dealer car park was presented by a red ABC warning. Went back into the dealer who suggested this is a unrelated fault not caused by them, which i may be liable for, just coincidente that it occured straight out from the workshop!

The vehicle has never had this fault before and suspension looked normal and level. Could this have occured as a result of 'tinkering' by the dealer?

Any comments/advice appreciated.
Regards.

In my (professional?) opinion, I would say the dealer is likely correct in stating it is unrelated. I would not suspect tinkering/replacement of the Rear SAM unit to cause an ABC system fault. In my 7+ yrs. MB dealer experience I have had several cars with ABC suspension throw an ABC malfunction out of the blue, where there was no problem previously. I would recommend having your dealer check the fault codes & explain to you exactly what the fault code is & what it pertains to. I would suspect it may be related to either: 1) a pressure supply problem, or 2) vehicle level problem. Whatever the ABC fault is for, I wouldn't suspect it's related to their Rear SAM repairs. Good Luck.
