Ignition switch help!

I have a 1990 560 sel, I have replaced the tumbler assembly two days ago. Now I go to start the car later today and nothing. The key buzzs when door open, but no starter engagement. No regular dash lites with key rotated to start postition.

Bad ignition switch maybe?

Does anyone have a picture or dissambly instructions there willing to share? I have a hanes manual but no ignition switch info in my manual.

I see many posts but nothing for a 1990 560 sle on ignition.

Did you try starting it in neutral?

No I did not think of that!

Would low battery voltage cause this also?

If starting in neutral works, problem is probably neutral safety switch. Our '95 e320 has this problem, sometimes starts in park, always in neutral. Seems to start in park in hot weather more.

I fixed this problem the ignition switch was pushed out during the tumbler removal process.
