1995 E500 Sportwagen????

There is a 1995 E500 Sportwagen being advertised near me. The seller says it was imported by a doctor. He says it has a V8 along with various AMG bits.

AS far as I know, these were never factory built by MB. CAn anyone enlighten me on this car? I am trying to find some time to go look at it.
