I have a '85 190E 2.3 with 200k miles that when the engine is warm, stall on acceleration from a stop. Sometimes if it doesn't stall completely, it will surge and be very sluggish until it gets up to speed. I am not very familiar with the Mercedes FI system. Can someone please give me some ideas on what to check first? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Talk about a coincidence. I just got my 1985 190e 2.3 out of the shop earlier today for repairs of the exact syptoms. My mechanic is very capable. It turned out to be the temperature sensor. Many other threads in this forum with similar problems recommended the same cure...the temperature sensor.
