My wifes 87 Diesel when you come to a stop at a light shakes pretty good, however while it's doing it if you put it in Neutral or Drive, it stops. I've got 2 threories, either the motor mounts are shot (liquid filled correct?) or I've got maybe a plugged injector or some sort of injector problem? She uses REDLINE 85 plus religiously. I just would like to narrow down my problem before I talk to my local shop so I can be prepared.
Any input would be really great and appreciated. Thanks in advance! Jason |

The engine mounts will cause this. Also, be sure that the overvoltage relay is good. It will cause the engine to be in limp mode and run poorly.

I didnt know a 87 diesel has a limp home mode. Is it like this when starting and shutting off the car too? if so, motor mounts. sometimes tranny mount causes abnormal vibrations too
