I have '94 C280 - just recently purchased. BMW's for years before. Here's the topic: What can I expect for rpm's at 70 mph? My tach shows just over 3100 rpm!? Maybe I'm used to having a 5-speed manual but this rpm seems excessive...

If this is the norm for a '94 C280, what can I expect for 100mph? 120 mph? I keep wanting to reach down and upshift at 70 mph!

Somebody tell me this is normal...Thanks.
