1991 300D wheel squeak

My 300D is making some squeaking sounds when driving. The sound seems to occur only above 10 mph. It is related to wheel speed. I can hear it whenever I drive with the windows open near anything that can reflect the sound back into the cabin. I took my car to a long and flat parking lot and pushed it in neutral hoping to locate the source of the offending squeak but I was unsuccessful. It seems that the car must be going at least 10 or 15 mph to make the squeak audible.

This squeak is probably no big deal, but I am taking the car on a 3000 mile trip in about a week. I would like to fix the problem now while it is only a sound, not an expensive repair.

Thanks in advance for any help.
