I just got my steering box replaced (finally!!) and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. I almost want to send my mechanic a thank-you note! My Benz now wants to cruise at 75+ ALL THE TIME now... We took her out for a 200 mile drive last night, and I had her up to 85+ a couple times. Still got 24 mpg including sitting in stopped traffic for 5 miles, and a week of two-mile short trips. I'm going to watch my mileage because all the sloppiness in the front suspension couldn't have helped fuel economy.
