Blowing fuse 1 when turn on ac

Blowing fuse 1 when turn on ac

Please help...

I have a 1988 TE Mercedes and have changed the compressor, Everytime I turn it on it blows the fuse on "1" which is the "glove box lamp...etc.",
Also, my ac turns off after 5 to 10 mins... Are these two problems related at all...
To make things more confusing, is the items listed for the fuse is up and running...
