Exclamation 300E fuel filter

Does anyone know where the fuel filter is at on a 91 300E?

There are two.
Main one situated with the fuel pumps under the floor of the rear drivers side passenger. Access by removing a plastic panel where you will find two pumps, fuel accumulator and large fuel filter.

There is a second filter on the fuel distributor. This is situated between the incoming fuel pipe and the Fuel distributor.

Both should be changed at the same time.

Actually the fuel pump and fuel filter are under the car inboard and in front of the right rear tire. Three plastic 10mm nuts secure the protective black plastic cover in place. You need to drive the car onto ramps or use jack stands to work safely. Be sure to transfer the clear plastic sleeve to the new fuel filter, or purchase a new sleeve if the existing one is damaged.

I don't remember MBs having this second filter, I know I've never replaced one.

It's where the fuel line attaches to the fuel distributor as stated in post #2.

Apologies for my earlier post stating that the location of the fuel pumps / fuel filter was under floor of driver side passenger - It is in my car which is RHD ..... of course for LHD other side.

OK- I have a '93 190E 2.6- can anybody direct me to the proper part numers for the main and the small brass secondary fuel filters? Can't seem to find them on Fastlane, and it always seems there are multiple parts for this car(early vs. late). I'd really appreciate it, thanks

I have never heard of this fuel filter!?

Can anybody else confirm that this is on all M103's -- Early and late?
If so, this could be my rough idle/poor MPG problems...

It looks like there may be three or four of those fittings on the Fuel distributor,do they all have filter screens in them?? what would the parts numbers be for a 1990 190E 2.6??? also the part numbers for the packing washers would be great too.

Doubt it....There is probably just one that is the main fuel line from the pump. Anymore would would seem redundant to me.
