My e320 will turn over, but not start. I repaced the CPS, which didn't fix the problem. However, after I changed it, after several failed attempts to start it, I tapped the fuel pump and was able to get it to start once. It idled for about 5 seconds until I gave it a little gas, then stalled. I got a message on the mulit-function display to check electronic stability, which I thought odd. I changed the fuel filter as the next step and it was due, but no luck.
I checked the power coming to the fuel pump tonight while my wife cranked the car, and I don't appear to have any power to it. Is their anything else that controls power to the fuel pump other then the CPS? Should their be power to it with the key in the on position, or just while the engine turns over? Is there a fuse for the fuel pump somewhere (I looked under the rear seat and under the hood for one with no luck)?
Thanks for any help.
