W123 window dew wipers

I think that's the right term. This is the rubber gasket on the outside (bottom) of the roll down windows. I got a part number for the front (W123) from MB. They don't have a part number for the back which look the same only shorter.

Has anyone done this: buy the longer front ones and cut them down to fit the back? Any special tricks involved?

I bet it would work. May be a metal stiffener integrated into it, look at the front or rear edge and try to determine if this is correct and if so cut it accordingly (tin snips or maybe a wire cutter)

I haven't made the purchase so I cannot examine them. Hopefully, another member has already tried this.

It's all the same part number. I found that all four had to be cut slightly to get them to fit in the slots perfectly. Though that's not uncommon with OE parts, I had to do the same thing with some felt sunroof seals with the MB star on them.

Thanks, that was the reply I was wanting to read!!!!
Many thanks -- I'll place the order. Mine are still in one piece but badly cracked. I guess 25 years is not a bad life span for exterior rubber (expecially in Texas).
