help with removing/installing a/c electric fan on 1989 300E
Finally found out the droning noise on a turn is the electric fan bearing on my 1989 300E. Understand the bearing is not replaceable so the entire motor must be replaced.
Anyone removed one that can provide instructions? Hard to get the shroud out with the cooling tube in front of the fan. Lots of push-in clips and not much room to work! Thanks! Ivan White Wilmington, NC |

Do a search!
There was a thread not too long ago that had pictures and instructions. Right upper corner for search.
Good luck!

J.H.,
I must be dense, then. I did do a search on the a/c fan prior to posting this and only came up ith a viscous fan removal for the engine fan. I'm looking for the electirc a/c fan in front of the radiaitor. Perhaps you could suggest what I might search besides 'remove/install a/c fan' and 'a/c fan' which i tried before bothering this list with my question. Would appreciate any help. |
