Question How is fuel sending unit tested?

Car is a 1992 300 TE.

Sending unit is out of car. Terminals are G, W, and T. I have manual which says float down ohm reading should be 77.8 + or - 2.3 ohms. With float turned 180 degrees, i.e., float up should read 3.2 + or - .7 ohms.

Question is which terminals are checked for each position?

G and W will be for Float resistance test.
W and T will be for Reserve lamp indicator switch..which will be open/closed continuity..........no ohms.
