Front Control Arms:
I have been trying to pin point the exact cause for the screeching/creaking noise in the front suspension on my 190E. It is not the shocks/damper struts as the noise is coming from the very front. Its the control arms or anti roll bar..... right???
Can anyone tell me if I'm right or wrong here??? Please? Mike McKinney

I think it could be the sway bar bushings or control arm bushings. The control arms on the car seem to be ok but, there is slight oxidation on them and the creaking noise does also happen when I turn the wheel at low speed. The noise is consistant and is in no way related to the power steering pump or anything of that nature.
Should I buy a bushing kit from partsshop even though I live in Canada? Some of the repair kits are not available...why? Anything else I should have a look at before I put money down? I will oil spray the car afterwards. Please offer anything that comes to mind. Thank you Mike McKinney
