Worken spring compressor for W126 front springs

Hi folks

What is the wisdom on using a hydraulic spring compressor rated at one ton ?

This is a device that sits laterally to the spring, uses two cups and is fed hydraulic pressure from a manuel pump.

I can get a new one for 145€ from Worken in France. This is a pro quality manufacturer.

Thanks

Denis

The principle issue is whether there's enough clearance between the outside of the spring and the front strut to properly mount the compressor. That's the reason why Mercedes strongly recommends the internal spring compressor.
