Mercedes S rear seat belts locked up

I have a 2003 mercedes s500 4matic, both rear seatbelts locked up in retracheted position. tesioner will not release so i can pull them out to use them. they are very tight and wil not move at all. is there a way to release the tensioner without taking everything apart
