84 500sel
I just bought an 84 500sel for 4000 at a repo auction including all the fees. it has 220,000 miles and is very clean in and out.

The best one is the one you don't have to spend $5000.00 on getting everything up to snuff.
The 300SE/300SELs are simpler; the 420s/560s have alot more zip. The 380s/500s are a bit older. 1991 was the last year MB made the 126 car. I'd look for a 1991 first.
