Slight Miss
Any suggestions on getting rid of a slightly rough idle? Car seems to be a little rough in gear at a stop, I already changed wires/cap/rotors/plugs, and ran through a few quarts of Techron - no change. Car has very low mileage but I can't get it as smooth as I'd like.

You may have already did this, but the other obvious one is to change the fuel filter.

Hi,
Im not sure if this is going to help you, my husband and I have a C180 Classic, and we recently had a problem with what seemed to be a miss fire, hubby said it was only running on three cylinders, he too changed to plugs and leads, butthis didn't make any difference, it still seemed to be losing power. We finally gave in and took it to our local merc garage, they had it for well over an hour, and said that it was the "Lamda Sensor", I believe it has something to do with the fuel injection system, the part itself cost £90, it has now, we are pleased to announce, fixed the problem. Our car now runs very smoothly and doesn't have any miss whatsoever. Hope this helps. Lisa |
