2001 E320 spring perch

I put 2 new springs in my mothers 2001 E320 with 90K on it. She barely drives the thing and it had both front springs broken. Upon replacing them, I noticed the left front spring perch starting to tear away. I snapped a few pics. She is supposed to go to florida (from NY) next week but I dont know if thats a good idea. What do you guys think? The pass. side is fine. Excellent engineering to use 2mm thick tin to brace the bracket. Thanks
