Yea. Its like free labor! And they know your going to be more careful removing them because you care about the part. Pretty clever!

I was careless because I read the other day a price list of pick-n-pull with very reasonable prices

http://www.crazyraysautoparts.com/price.htm

e.g Instrument Cluster..............................................25.47

so I thought the prices at that junk yard were also similar. Lesson learnt

Crazy Ray's buys junkers for their scrap value. What they get from the gleaners is profit.

Oh come on admit it you had a good time. Sounds to me like an afternoon well spent.

Yeah, I am now experienced at removing those parts, especially the headlight, which alone took me 20 minutes

I would have bolted everything back on the car or charged them $200 in labor!

Small things like relays have a tendency to jump into my toolbox the naughty things!

For $1400 I would have taken the entire car! Especially since they probably CHARGED the PO $100 to take it away!

I am glad my local guys are more reasonable things like window regulators with motors for $10, speedometer for $25, etc...
