damper pin/screw
85 300TD 279kmi
I recently had some engine and transmission tuning performed but a trusted mechanic. He got the car running wonderfully but suggested that the damper pin be replaced to smooth the idle b/c it is worn. Q1: Is this something I can do myself at home? Special tools or skills req'd? Also, I notice that the car has some vibration a various rpm/speeds and have eliminated the tires and the flex discs. Q2: Can the worn damper pin cause the engine to run rough at higher rpm? Any suggestions? Thanks for your time, Alec. |
