So do the keys need to be programmed for that new ECU? is there a manual way to do it or is it a dealer function?

I have no ground to two of the injectors.

Yes, starting in 1993 with HFM fuel systems & ALL fuel systems that have come since..either coding OR programming OR both is required. And starting in 2003 a verification coding(SCN) is also required.
