Thank You. I was wondering about that myself. I went and looked at it. It seems to be riveted in place so I dont think it slipped. I looked behind it and to the side of it. I saw a ac line but no valve.

Are there any 1993 190e owners that can help a brother out?

There's another possibilty I can think of. If your car originally used R-12 refrigerant, and was converted to use R134a, it could be that it wasn't done right. My first MB, an '83 380 SEL had been converted at some point but the PO had only changed the low side valve, the high side was still for R-12, just a small "valve stem" looking valve with no cap on it. Look closer and see if that's the case on yours. If it is, correcting it is a simple matter of picking up the correct high side valve and screwing it on.

I know that to be the case. I have the high valve fitting. I just cant find where to put it.

Good news bad news

Good news is while I was looking for the ac valve I found the coolant drain. Is there more than one? It is much easier than previous cars to drain coolant. Maybe I will drain and refill my coolant one day soon.

Bad news I still cant find that valve stem. I wish somebody that has a 190e could help me.

I assume it is based on its history of residing in the USA since it was sold. How would I find out for sure?

Then I'm sure it is, I just didn't want to assume anything.

Question, are you wanting to convert to R134a, or do you just want to check your high side pressure?

Is your A/C currently working?

Have you owned the car since new?

I just can't understand why the high side valve isn't easy to be located.

Here are 2 photos of my '93 2.3 high pressure side location.

Wow yours is so easy to see. Thanks for posting those. I previously converted the low side to 134a but not the high side. I want to check the high side pressure among other possible things.

The AC currently works but not very well in 95-102 degree Texas heat.

I'm the second owner. I have had it around 4 years.

Even though mine does not look the same as yours maybe your pictures will help me.
