My 1991 350SDL has ASD ... or used to.

I have been unable to find a troubleshooting guide or procedure for the "ASD Light On" fault. I assume the ASD is NOT working with the light on all the time - versus it flashing when the ASD does work in normal mode.

Can anyone help me with this? I hate guessing ... my final resort is simply to start replacing components - best guess would be the accumulator in the right rear of the car.

This system has the "blink" code (analog) diagnostic system, pin # 5 on the connector. There are 7 different fault codes possible.

I got a tester from a subscriber to this site - great piece of home made equipment ... he made me promise not to tell who it was ....

I got 8 blinks ... did the reset procedure with the tester and ASD light went out. I did a quick test drive (and attempted to spin left and right tires on gravel) and did not get any resets of the code and the ASD light did not illuminate.

My CD-ROM does not have code listings ... or, I simply have missed them somehow.

Do you or anyone else have a reference for the codes?
