I have a 1985 190E that I gave to my father when he retired. The fan switch is stuck in the second position and will not move. Can you remove the upper center console to get to the problem? Best way to remove it without messing anything up? Would really appreciate the help. It is about 100 degrees here in Oklahoma!

2 screws
There are 2 screws which hold the blower motor switch in place. They are behind the narrow woodgrain panel. Pull off the knob from the speed selector switch, CAREFULLY pry the woodgrain panel off (if I remember correctly, it is just glued in place), then remove the switch via the 2 screws.
Replace the switch and re-install. Then enjoy the cool air. SteveM
