I'm going to guess you bought a rare and desirable car, probably a Benz, am I warm?

I'm a regular "browser" of ebay, and this car popped up for sale. Reading the description, I can't figure out ANYTHING that makes sense. I'm not selling it, and I'm not buying it - I'm just wondering what the hell it is based on his description.

there's no 300CL listed in Nitske's book which lists all models from 1946-1990

"Extra gas tank in truck (total 40 gallons)."

In TRUCK???!!! "shome mishtake shurely!!!

I am thinking, despite all the confusion, lack of description, perhaps due to the fact that the Doctor squeezed the forceps too hard when he pulled the seller out, the vehicle may be a NA 1978 300CD W123 coupe.

And they have 5 cylinders, not 8, last I heard...

I need to talk to this guy: Hey hey man, you got 2 tens for a five? (Leetle trick I learnt in east Oakland....)

*YAWN* a legend in the seller's so-called mind....

I would suggest it would be one of these - mislabeled.

They are not so rare. 450SL convertibles are more expensive.

It has to be an idiot selling a 300CD. 275k, a second tank and a large dent? Starting price at 15 grand? What else could it possibly be? I doubt 450SLC.

I have never heard of a 450slc going 275,000 miles, making it more likely to be a 300CD, IMO.

Has anyone contacted him yet?

I have never either but that is probably only because folks who had the money to buy them didn't need to drive them much.
