I'd have no trouble seeing Toyota/Lexus cars go bye-bye.

Well, in addition to my Mercedes, I have a Lexus LS400 as well. I have had several other Mercedes and Lexus LS400s and never had more trouble out of one than the other. My MBs have been easier to work on however.

It pained me to see that identical to mine Mercedes get trashed with the CFC and wondering how many LS400s were out there too. My last LS400 had 280K and the engine was still as smooth as silk.

I could not hear any sound, so not sure what was going on.... why was he driving it, then do that to it and how in the heck did it catch on fire? Did they bomb it too or rupture fuel lines with all of those bullets?

Yeah or blasted holes in the gas tank, then sparks from the bullets.

Steering wheel was on the wrong side anyway.

Yep, tracers are kind of part flare, you're throwing fire into the thing.

He was driving it and explaining in typical Jeremy fashion that it was a fine autombile, as far as a method of conveyance goes, but gave absolutely no driving pleasure as the Asian cars typically don't. I liken it to driving a refrigerator, just an appliance with wheels (and my brother was part of planning the vehicles for Toyota/Lexus) built to mimic all of the European vehicles that were studied to create the many Japanese knock-offs.

C4C 300 E 4-Matic RIP

Friends,
My service manager called me repeatedly to come out into the lot so that I could observe the destruction of my former automobile. To be honest, I could not watch. He told me the old girl lasted for over 15 mins at WOT. I did bring myself to watch some of the youtube video accounts of the holocaust. I must be getting soft in my old age. It really grieves me to watch the destruction of perfectly good machinery.

I hope I don't live long enough to observe what the Tyrants will do to the people of this County if someone does'nt slow them down.

This really isn't the proper place on this forum for politics, but this post really annoys me so here I go....

First of all, you decry "Tyrants" in your post, which is an incredible insult to people who have lived under actual tyrants, not just imagined ones. I think it really speaks poorly of your knowledge and respect of history.

Secondly, you participated in the cash for clunkers program, and apparently sacrificed a perfectly good car in order to get the credit, then you complain about what will happen if nobody "slows them down". How can you have the hypocrisy to complain about a government program that you so readily took advantage of, and blame this on tyranny? Did Obama come to your house and hold a gun to your head and demand you turn in your car?

To quote Barney Frank "On what planet do you spend the majority of your time?"

15minutes? That's pretty impressive.

Now off to LP to be shredded, wish I could have that front bumper.

That is one precise engine! 15 minutes is amazing, even most of the V8's that have been subjected to the death penalty have only made it about 5-7 minutes or so.

The M103 rocks!

Do you know what RPMS they were holding the engine at? Some cars lasted longer than others because of RPMS. The "directions" state no higher than 2000 rpms, but some of those moron dealers doing this are redlining them or racing at very high speeds, blowing them up quickly....

Did you see the moron in that Mercedes W126 sedan racing the engine in that beautiful W126 sedan?

I know what you mean though... some of those Blazers and Cherokees blew up almost instantly.

I saw the Mercedes like mine meet the fate... now I want to see how a LS400 does it since I have one of those too.
