What Product to Use to Clean W124 Throttle Body?

Kosher to use plain old Carb Cleaner Spray on the Throttle Body Butterfly?

I have cold surge in Reverse in '94 E320 Coupe and thought that a throttle body cleaning is a good first step to implement...

tks-fad

Yes, but be very careful.
You should remove the mass air meter first. Be sparing with the spray because too much could liquid lock the engine. Also, the wire harness on the throttle actuator is a known weak spot, so don't touch it.
Good luck.
