ok finnaly got all my parts was just waiting on them head bolts no one seemed to have them in stock does any one by any chance know the torque specs for the head i dont want to under torque them thanx

55nm then 90 degree turn, then another 90 degree turn. Do it in stages.

Are you still having problems with the valve not compressing? Are you applying 5BAR? Also give the head of the valve spring a hit with a hammer if the sucker is still tough (use a socket to protect the spring).

It may be likely that the new head bolts you'll get from most places these days are a little shorter (from the contact surface to the end), have an extra wide flange and do not use the washers like your old bolts did. Make sure which kind you have before you install them. Make sure the receiving threads are very clean as well.

Another great tip I got (here) was after the initial 55nm tighten, paint a dot of white paint on the intake manifold side of each head bolt. After the first 90° turn they should all be facing forward, and after the final turn they should all be facing the exhaust side. Makes it real easy to estimate the 90° and keep track of which ones were done at the same time.

I would make sure to get the ones with the built in washer -- they are the updated ones.

ok i got everything put together but it wont start i go to start it and it wont crank all it does is drain the battery really fast and the negative wire to the battery gets pretty hot idk whats wrong if any one can help me get my car back on the road please do

as far as ik i am it wont crank at all kind of seems like a gounds messd up or something because when i turn the key over the battery immediatly drains then juices back up but it wont crank at all then a weird burning smell happens could this be something with the starter? when i put a new battery in it it cranked but had no gas to kick over then tried the next day and that happened
