The current tire size on the wheels are 205s, and the wheels I'm getting have a tire size of 225. 17x7.5 AMG aero IIs.

I'm hoping it fills out the wheel well a bit better than the 16s on the original Excelsior:

Bought ours almost 9 years ago with 67K, now it has 231K and running great! I have installed 500E front struts and 500E f/r springs and sway bars, really improves handling! Also, currently running W210 17" wheels, here's a picture...

hello,

nice wagon. i just bought a similar one but it's a 92. what size tires are you running on your 17"s? i'm running amg's off a 2004 clk and they are rubbing in the back. (7.5 225/45/17 and 8.5 245/40/17) i think i'll have to give them up.

too.. muchhhh.. fenderrr gapppppp. but thats my opinion

Also, I'd look into a protection system for the nose of the car. PPG makes a really great clear bra that is practically invisible once applied.

I like my dental fillings just where they are. I know it would look better lowered, but not at the expense of comfort and usability.

"Mind the gap". There are H&R lowering springs available specifically for the wagon. Almost got a set off ebay before my wife (it's HER wagon) stated NO. Ended up cutting a coil off the front springs, now has a very slight rake that is not noticed unless a stock one is next to it. Also no ride quality issues (she would be the first to tell me). But, its your car...Enjoy!

You know, I used to despise any sort of wagon, but I really dig yours.

Well, I won't "completely" spoil the upcoming news, but this was not a good day for the newest wagon in Tyler's fleet......

Not nearly as bad as it could of been, but an old man was kind enough to rear-end the Excelsior-A today.

The front clip of his Chrysler 300C was all out of whack, with broken clips and a pushed back light. I initially thought the rear impact strip was cracked, but its only a scratch. I couldn't find any other damage.

I will look tomorrow in some daylight and report back.

Uh oh Tyler. I just noticed your signature, and I think I will be having some high level cabinet meetings discussing the possible addition of the Rogue W to the list.......
