Bypassing W202 Starter Interlock Relay
Recommended procedure for bypassing the starter interlock relay on a '94 C280 (with no alarm system)?
Is it typically the interlock relay that causes problems or is it the position switch on the driver's door lock assembly? Location of the interlock relay? The system is acting up with greater frequency, preventing the motor from being started unless the driver's door lock is cycled a few times with the key. TIA |

The ideal thing to do would be to remove this relay & install jumper wire, but on the C-Class this relay is very hard to get to.
On the central locking pump you would need to ground the signal wire to the interlock relay. There is a purple/blue wire at pin connector 7 on the locking pump that must be grounded so the relay allows the car to start.
