300e rough idle

I recently changed my plugs (copper ones) and plug wires on my 300e. Everything was fine for a week then all of a sudden when I shift into reverse or shift into drive with my foot still on the brake theres a few hickups in the idle but once I get moving all is fine. Do you think the ovp realy may need to be looked at? Im planning to change the fuel filter too so i'll see if that helps any. I know this might sound wierd but before I changed plugs and wires the car felt stronger off the line. but top end is better. I guess what I mean is the car feels a little more softer when flooring it. I guess the saying if it aint broke dont try to fix it holds true .
