subframe mounts and diff bushings 95 e-320

Has anyone accomplished these yet?Or does anyone know where
to find the answer.I took the bolt out of the subframe mount, jacked
up the the diff but it would hang low enough to get the mount out.
What else do I need to undo to make the subframe hang lower. Also
can figure out how to press the old diff bushings out and put the
the new ones in?Thanks in advance.I just finished putting the front motor
mounts in.Ride like new and no shaking.

I would almost recommend just dropping the whole rear subframe. That's what I ended up doing and it made everything a lot easier (But I was also replacing the suspension links as well). It's just the 4 subframe bolts and the flexdisc. Once it's out you have room to get the old subframe and diff bushings out and the new ones in.

If you leave it in the car, you might try jamming a piece of wood in between the subframe and the body, and then using a jack to press the subframe bushing up and out the top. Good luck!

mounts and bushings

If you leave the subframe in,to make it lower, then you have to undo
the flex discs to drop it lower, and of course the subframe mounts them
selves. Is this what you are recommending? What about the springs? Thanks.

Take a look at this pdf walkthrough. It's really informative and I give credit to the guy who originally wrote it-- he did a great job. It's for a w201, but the rear subframes are essentially the same.

part 1:
http://www.dot7design.com/mercedes/W201_190D_subframe1.pdf

and part 2:

I ended up removing the ENTIRE rear end, which means removing the springs and shocks. But following the pdf's above, you wouldn't have to do this.
