We just purchased a C320 wagon (2002). It is in great shape and my wife is thrilled (I'm still mourning the loss of our diesel but getting over it every time I drive this car).

Here's my question: the cargo cover/divider rolls up into a large bar at the top of the rear seats....I'm thinking we probably won't use the cargo cover and am wondering if I should remove it...actually how I should remove it?

The rear seat's are split, but the bar prevents me from putting the left side seat down with the right seat still in place (for my son to sit)....this is why I'm thinking I need to remove the bar.

Is removing it inadvisable? How do I remove it (I assume that there are bolts underneath the gray plastic box-like covers on the backside but I couldn't figure out if those just popped off (my luck, I'd try to do something simple and end up breaking it....).
