You'll be Fine, Except for the fact you purchased a KAE which is nothing but Chinese Crap

Return it and get a Genuine piece.

KAE has IME, proven to be nothing but garbage. I've thrown away more nearly new KAE items then I can begin to imagine.

Again, buy a Genuine..it's the Only way to have a reliable OVP these days.

You could take apart the old one and repair it. I was able to do with my OVP. I cleaned out the internals and touched up the solder connections.

Go to your MB dealer and ask for discount.

Buy quality parts for a quality car.

thanks for the reassurance lee. as i have said, this forum has never steered me wrog, but what I will do is order another brand ovp and still keep my kae that i bought. that way at least i'll still have one on standby in case theres any foul up. ....however, when i went back to look up the kae it was next to another brand and it said that the kae was the direct OE replacement.
