Temp Guages & Odometer

Just recently my 93 500SEL's odometer has stopped recording at 164,999 miles. Any Ideas what could be wrong? Also my outside temperature is recording temps of 105 degrees, what is wrong and how do I fix both these problems? Thanks in advance
