W124 Vacuum pump for locks

How can I check if my vaccum supply pump for lokcs is working? I just put in a use one I got from a used parts shop and it does not seem to work.

I tried to run some wires directly from the battery to the TWO Terminals with RED(+) and BROWN(-) wires. Nothing happend.

Any other way to test if I got a busted pump? Can this be repaired?

Thanks!

Francis

Be sure to check the fuses. The pump not only has to have power and ground, but also, the trigger wires (round plug) carry power and ground too. They alternate every time a door is locked and unlocked.
