adding a cabin filter to 126 300se

Hi
Is it possible to add a cabin filter to an 126 model.? My 300se has the optional velour' seats , very comfortable & in feel but tend to trap dust .

Fresh air is brought in from the area just in front of the windshield, and the ducting is all behind the dash, so the simple answer is "no."

I too hate the dust and junk that collects around the vents on the dash, etc... I'd like to take apart my dash, or cowling and figure some way to build a mount for one...

In recirculate mode the fresh air flap is closed off and the air intake to the blower is from some other area .
On my 109 the air intake blower is in the right footwell area so its easy .

On my Corvette I purchased a spongy foam piece that fits over the entire outside cowl area. It serves to keep leaves out of the cowl but, also serves as an air filter. If you could find a piece of form (nerf ball type) it wouldn't be to hard to fab one with a razor blade. They should make these for MB's to keep all the crap out of the false bulkhead area.
I'm going to make one myself. Just need to find suitable foam.

Let me know what you guys find, I'd love to do this... if my lowly 91 Jetta could have a cabin air filter my 91 S class should too.
