if he left out the spring pads wouldnt the springs be moving around allot over bumps and be making noise,if you jack the car up i think the springs would move around a bit if you were to push and pull on them as they wont be sitting perfectly in the rubber pads,or maybe still there is tremendous pressure on them.i remember back to when i had an iroc-z the springs were lowered 2" when i jacked up the rear end the springs would litterally fall out if i touched them.i always had to make sure they were correctly ligned up and in place when i let the car down.

wow, ok, so they weren't cut. They're new(ish) Lesjorfors... but look at the one I took out, next to the brand new spare I had.

What the... After a few months, do these springs loose their... uh.. springyness? I noticed as I was compressing the old spring, it was really easy. The new one? Much grunting was involved. Huh.

Then I would say your ride height problem lies within the front control arm (one/all of the three bushings).

Well the car sits much higher now after I swapped in the spare. Still waiting for the other spring to arrive so I can take it for a drive.

Car rides much better, but still sits too low. Bushings?

Another issue I noticed is that I can pick the front of the car up with my hands about 1" and it'll stay there until I start driving again. If I push it down, it stays low. I'm at about 12.75" right now. SMH.

What does that mean?

FINALLY got my car to the right hight!

I snagged a set of springs from my local yard with an identical 93, and it did the trick! So relieved.

Can't believe those brand new lesforjors were garbage right out of the box.
