Mike,
I think you helped me solve the problem. I found the little pressure transducer you were talking about, and the connecting cable was loose. I took it off, cleaned the post, reinstalled, and drove the car for twenty miles with no apparent problem. Now, the problem is intermitent, so I'm not sure it's fixed, but it appears to be rectified. Thank you so much for your help.
