Front driver window lost it mind!

So Last night the front drivers window on my 400E. Would not go up switched the switches with the back switch no go. Heard clicking coming form the door, it did not stop until I shut the car off. Pulled the door panel, reg seemed ok finely got it to move it went up then back down on its own??? Then got it to go up and stay until I got to work and it started to rain and one of the guys at work pressed the button, and it got stuck down WTF seems to be moving on its own at times??? lost the plate lights then the trunk light now my window lost it mind! Sounds like your switch has some loose balls in it that are shorting the connections.

For example, take a look at how the power seat switch is constructed (can't find pictures of the window switch). PeachPartsWiki: Seat Switch Cleaning or Rebuilding

Switch is broken, or the wires at the door jam are frayed and shorting.

I just remembered the W124 has the "comfort control module" under the rear seat that controls the windows and moonroof etc....it might be malfunctioning.

Our 300 did something like that years ago. Unplugging the comfort module - under the left rear seat squab - seemed to cure it. At least it didn't do it again.

Try unplugging it for a couple of minutes and then reconnect everything. Doing that cured ours while we had it, but that is not say that it will work if the comfort module is broken.
