Fuel Pump
Where is the fuel pump located on the 1978 240D. The manual refers to underneath the left rear side, but I am having difficulty locating it.

It's a suction pump, it's located on the side of the fuel injection pump. It's the part with the pump handle on it for when you run out of fuel or need to otherwisepump fuel through the injection pump. The hand pump actually attaches to the supply pump, but at any rate, the answer is that the fuel pump is attached to the injection pump.
