w203 alarm control module

Does anyone know where the alarm control module is located in a 2004 Mbenz C240. I have taken the fender lining out and found the siren, but could not find the module. Directions would be very helpfull!

I took my car into the dealership because it was making weird noises in th siren, randomly going off, draining my battery. I thought maybe it was the siren, but they plugged it into DAS and they told me it was the control module and that it needed replaced. They wanted 200 for the part and another 120 for labor. So I bought the part on getmercedesparts.com . I thought it would be in the shroud with the siren, but to my demise when I got the fender liner off it was not there .

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.!

Because mine has stopped working and I need to replace it. I purchased a new one, and thought it was next to the siren in the shroud under the rh fender lining, but it is not

The rear SAM controls the alarm on your car. Do some diagnosis before you start replacing stuff, though. The sirens fail much more frequently than the SAM's do.

Here is the diagram.

Its not the SAM that controls the alarm. There is an actual unit part# W2118209126 that is the anti theft control module. I have purchased the control module, but do not know where in the car it is located. That it what I am looking for.

Pope, you have some BAD info!

As ILUMILS has suggested... the rear SAM controls the alarm system.

And the siren is the problem 99% of the time!

The part number is 219-820-32-26 & list price is $164

Ok MBDOC,

Then what is part # 2118209126 for. I have a brand new rear SAM and have replaced my siren. I have gotten the part number from my Mercedes Benz dealership with the DAS print out sheet showing the fault. IT IS THE CONTROL MODULE. May be connected to the SAM but it is the module that controls the anti theft alarm.

Go the this website https://www.getmercedesparts.com/oem-Mercedes-parts.html,
and enter this part number 2118209126

Replacing theft related parts is not just plug and play. If the car you are getting the control unit from was at any time stolen and tagged in Mercedes system the computer will give a warning next time the car is plugged in and shortly after that a whole bunch of men wearing black uniforms and carrying guns will show up and lead you away. Crime: fencing stolen goods.

If you order the part new the Mercedes dealership has to sync it to your car.

211-820-91-26 is the Anti-towing sensor!

The rear SAM controls the alarm, that is merely an input to the SAM!
And it can be programed out as well.
