I replaced my defective 20 year old switch with a new one. I have a few friends in parts. So he ordered a new one. As soon as it came in and saw the brand I told him he better be prepared to order a new one. I had him call his euro parts division to make sure it had a 1 year warranty and to see if they had ANY other lines. They said no to other brands.

Well upon install one of the metal ears snapped off and now I only have headlights with parking lights. I can not just have parking lights alone.

So he called, and ordered a new one. Because of the tab that broke. It came in and he was confused. Same exact part number, but a new line number of MER. And its $20 more? Odd he though.

Well I took one look and knew what it was. The real deal MB stamped, made in Italy, headlight switch. Even in Mercedes OEM packaging.

Heck, for $20 more I would rather have that!! Total cost is only $68.00. I wish I had known form the start. Not that replacing the switch is hard at all. Just takes up my time.

So there goes ANOTHER URO brand part. They make ONE thing well, its called "crap" and comes free with every product.

Reminds me of an advertisement for the W123. In the commercial they said the W123 is just like any other car in that it breaks down too, but it does break down much, much, much later (or something to that effect).

Someone needs to start a web page with links from the various forums, listing the tales of woe regarding folks who got burned with UROparts, Hamburg Tech parts, Trucktek parts, FEQ parts.

I REALLY don't know how these companies stay in business.

There was a great thread showing a URO flex disc that exploded after 6 months, causing massive damage... unfortunately the poster used Photobucket to host the pictures and later deleted them, now gone forever. Real shame, it was a great pictorial on URO part kwality. Any volunteers to blow up another URO flex disc and take pictures of the carnage? Anyone? Bueller...?

I put a URO air distribution line on my SEC. It failed immediately!! Like right upon start-up. Never again will I install a URO part on anything be it my personal car or a customer vehicle. I have NEVER seen anyone say anything positive about their stuff.....
