Last time I changed a 722.3 under the car I didn't have a tranny jack. Used a normal floor jack with a flat board bolted to it. I wouldn't do it again - I lucked out and got the tranny mounted to the engine first go. Next time I'll use a special tranny jack.

I hear that. I changed a clutch once on a Dodge Ram 4x4. Luckily I was able to borrow a tranny jack. It's enough work dropping the drive lines, transfer case, but then have to re-align the tranny to the splines but using a normal jack. Fugetaboutit.

Question 722.9 Transmission, WEIGHT (for shipping)

I'm desperately trying to find the weight of a 722.906 transmission from a 2007 E350 base.

I mailed a faulty transmission back and they claim it weighed over 500 pounds! I estimated it at 125 lbs, which may have been light, but I need a spec sheet indicating the actual weight of the transmission so that I can get my $595 back that FREIGHT-Center's carrier charged me!

PLEASE HELP! I've spent hours searching the internet and making phone calls, but to no avail.

Thank you SO Much for any intel!

trans weight

I would guess 150 lbs without torque converter and fluid depending if it's a 4MATIC (AWD) or just RWD. I've change a few transmissions in BMW 7 series, Audi quattro, and and old R129 500SL. The Audi A4 Quattro was the heaviest but still maybe only 200-250 lbs. I'm not sure what car or SUV would have a 500 lb trans unless it was some heavy duty off road or race application custom

Try this PDF https://akpphelp.ru/images/contents/files/722.9%20Manual.pdf press ctrl+f and search for weight within the file

From what I found it was 82 KG or 180 lbs with converter and fluid
